This event is now over.

About The Event

Disability Inclusion: From Possibilities to Practice

In 2022, Employment and Social Development Canada established the Canadian Congress on Disability Inclusion (CCDI) as the Government of Canada’s annual milestone event to kick-start National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) celebrations.

CCDI 2023 is the second iteration of this virtual, interactive, and inclusive event. The virtual event provides an opportunity to bring people together to exchange ideas and groundbreaking insights to help shape accessible and inclusively designed communities and workplaces across Canada.

CCDI 2023 is free and open to the public.

What to Expect

CCDI 2023 is more than a conference.

  • • Some of Canada’s most prominent disability and accessibility advocates, community members, academics, thought leaders and innovators.
  • • Next-level networking to exchange ideas and build partnerships.
  • • An Innovation Showcase to highlight leading edge accessible and inclusive innovative projects, products, and services.
  • • A Career Fair for persons with disabilities featuring some of Canada’s most diverse and inclusive employers.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to attend and participate, we are making sure the event is as accessible as possible.

That is why the virtual venue will be compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, Level AA.

The event will provide English, French, American Sign Language and Langue des signes Québécoise interpretation as well as English and French captioning. Registrants will also be able to access the main stage content through a call-in option.
